Adult Education Class - Focus on the Holy Land

"Focus on the Holy Land" is a class for those interested in an armchair exploration of both ancient and present-day Biblical sites. The first two sessions of this five-part series will take us through a "Scriptural Index" of Biblical sites, discussing their significance during the time of Christ and, for some of the sites, a look at modern-day life. The third session is a musical tour of the Holy Land in which we will learn hymns relating to Biblical sites. The fourth and fifth sessions explore modern-day Israel/Palestine and an overview of the creation of the State of Israel. These classes are designed for anyone interested in exploring Biblical cities and events and would be of particular interest to those who intend to join the upcoming parish pilgrimage.
